How to Split a PDF
Extract selected pages or divide a large PDF into smaller, useful documents.
Splitting a PDF is useful when you need to share only part of a document or create smaller files for upload limits. Decide the page ranges before exporting.
Choose page ranges
Use page numbers from the PDF viewer, not just printed labels, because a document may include a cover or unnumbered pages. Write down each range you need before starting.
Keep context where it matters
When extracting a section, include relevant title pages, definitions, or signatures. A technically correct page range can still be confusing when separated from its context.
Name each output clearly
Include the section name or page range in each filename. Open every result and confirm that it contains only the intended pages before sharing it.
